Jim is a highly dedicated, valued employee and Technical Support Specialist who consistently demonstrates commitment to the Tech Support team. His exceptional skills, customer-oriented approach, and willingness to go the extra mile makes him an asset to the team. He is well-deserved of being the Employee Values Spotlight award recipient and recognized for his outstanding contributions which serves as a testament to his strong work ethic, passion, and hunger for his role in the organization.
Q&A with Jim
What’s your role at Protenus, and what do you do?
I am a Technical Support Specialist on the HelpDesk. My daily tasks include helping customers access the Protenus platform, update configurations and keep up with the data being submitted.
What do Protenus’ values mean to you?
Be Human: I know I have the support here to reach out for help at any time, and I am always comfortable with saying anything I need to.
Build Trust: When a customer reaches out, we take pride in resolving the issue quickly, allowing them to feel comfortable reaching out again and to keep Protenus as their preferred software partner.
Live Empowered: We all get by with a little help from our friends. It can be a fast paced job here sometimes, and having the support of people around is paramount in being successful.
Onward together: It’s the little things we do on a daily basis, from one team to another that keeps this growing. Everyone is important in their role, and it’s awesome when two teams can come together to make something work better.
How did you get into the Technical Support field?
I made the decision two and a half years ago to attend a bootcamp to transition into the tech world.
How has working at Protenus impacted your career?
Protenus was the first company to open their doors to my new career. It has allowed me to keep learning and growing and stay out of my comfort zone to become an engineer in the future. It’s been the best decision I have ever made career wise.
What has surprised you the most about working at Protenus?
Work/Life balance, the quality of people working here, along with our CEO, and how awesome it is working in tech. Being able to be home when I need to be, and spend time with my family is unmatched. I had no idea mental health was so important until I started working here and realized that it’s nice to work for a company that cares about its employees. While the work can be challenging and sometimes stressful, it’s great to work with the people on my team.
